ABOUT DIEBRILL
FROM LINEAGE TO AUTHORSHIP
Inherited logic, authored.
Our Origins
Diebrill exists within a culture of objects where art is inseparable from meaning, and form carries the memory of time. Each creation is conceived as an autonomous work: precise, disciplined, and imbued with references to the great historical movements of the past, as well as to those still unfolding.
The contemporary authorship of Diebrill is shaped by Alejandro Torres Frias, whose thinking emerges at the intersection of art, engineering, and entrepreneurial vision. Embedded in his DNA is a Catalonian lineage whose forebears helped shape the architectural skyline of Shanghai at a moment when cities were conceived as long-term civilizational statements. This capacity to think in terms of world scale and historical duration endures, translated into objects.
Today, Diebrill produces limited, institutionally conceived works intended for spaces of concentration and legacy: private offices, archives, and libraries. Within them, the presence of the owner is expressed not overtly, but through proportion, material, weight, and atmosphere. These are objects that record a way of thinking and thus outlast their time.
